FORIS vineyards
Rogue Valley, Oregon

When Ted Gerber planted his first vines in 1974, he had the passion and courage to develop premium Pinot Noir and Alsace varietal vineyards in the remote southwest corner of Oregon. To fulfill his dream, in 1986, he established an estate, family-owned, boutique winery surrounded by the beautiful, rustic Siskiyou Mountains. Today, as a testament to Ted's vision, Foris produces elegant, complex wines, rich in flavor and texture, distinct to the microclimate and terroir of our estate vineyards.

2007 Foris Pinot Gris $14.95

Starts with bright aromas of grapefruit and stone fruits. Medium bodied with a soft acidity, but still racy, even spicy. Minerals, lime and a tight core of tangerines on the palate. More citrus throughout the mouthwatering finish. Crisp and refreshing, it should make beautiful drinking throughout the spring and summer.

2007 Foris Barrel Fermented Chardonnay $13.95

Slightly smoky aromas of juicy peaches with very subtle hints of butter and minerals. Medium to light bodied. Supple on the palate with nicely integrated acidity. Peachy, but with a hint of citrus, maybe lime. Showing minerals on the finish. Mildly toasty. Long trailing finish with some spice.

2008 Foris Riesling $12.95

White peach, apricot and pineapple are the primary fruit aromas with a scent of wet stone contributing a mineral character. Acidity is the thread that weaves the fabric of this wine together and even with a touch of residual sugar the acidity is great enough that this wine finishes dry. The flavors are intense and sharply focused revealing honey, stone fruits, dried pineapple and a touch of allspice. The finish is exceptionally long and tangy, suggesting that this wine will be enjoyable in the near term and age quite gracefully.

2007 Foris Gewürztraminer $13.95

It's exciting to harvest ideally ripened Gewürztraminer. The beautifully pink fruit, small, tight clusters, and very spicy flavors let you know that you have great fruit to work with. Citrus and rose blossoms intermingle to create a heady floral perfume. Rich, yet restrained by ample acidity, the flavors are reminiscent of white peach, kiwi, grapefruit zest and a trace of ginger spice.

2007 Foris Pinot Noir $17.95

Subtle aromas suggest darker colored fruit with tones of chocolate. Medium bodied, with subtle tannins and easy acidity. Raspberries and wild blackberries on the palate. Spice and pleasant acidity intermingle with the fruit on the long, focused finish.
