2007 Newton Chardonnay Red Label $25.95

California, Napa and Sonoma

Tasting Notes:
Enticing notes of ripe pear and green apple mingle with light butterscotch, vanilla and almond aromas. On the palate, ripe pear combines with pie crust and golden delicious apple flavors, accented by a hint of orange zest. The layers of flavor and appealing texture persist throughout the plush, creamy finish.

Food & Wine Pairing:
The subtle acidity and creamy finish in this well-balanced Chardonnay make it a versatile, food-friendly choice. We suggest pairing this wine with seafood like baked halibut, roasted poultry or richer pasta dishes with a cream sauce.

2006 Castell del Remei GOTIM BRU $14.95

Spain, Costers del Segre

Varieties:
40% Tempranillo, 30% Grenache, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Merlot

Oak aged 10 months in American oak barrels.

Winemaker's notes:
Consistently called one of Spain's greatest wine values, this wine, like most from this small D.O. of Costers del Segre in Western Catalonia, tends to be more spice driven with high fruit concentration and often a "sauvage" character that is quite appealing and delicious.

"Opaque ruby. Ripe, brooding kirsch and blackcurrant aromas are further deepened by licorice and espresso. A real black hole on the palate, with slowly unfolding dark fruit liqueur flavors, chewy tannins and a long, sweet, compote-like finish. This should be great with grilled or braised lamb. Very serious for this price."

2006 Bogle Phantom $20.95

California

bogle \bõ'g?l\ n. [Scots, perhaps from Welsh] A goblin; a specter; a phantom; a bogy, boggart or bugbear.

WINEMAKER NOTES
It has reappeared...
Three distinctive varietals combine lush berry and fierce spice into a wine characterized by its incandescence. Deeply luscious and succulent blackberries ignite this vintage of our rich ruby apparition. Aromas of anise and sweet fig are embraced by touches of black pepper. From the shadowed dark depths, subtle notes of cloves and vanilla emerge and compliment the concentrated fruit characters of this wine. Captured in 1, 2 and 3 year old American oak barrels, this wine showcases the best these distinct varietals have to offer.
Though this wine is remarkable now, age in the bottle will only integrate the three unique varietals more. Welcome the winery ghost into your home again with this latest vintage, and enjoy with full-flavored and hearty meals...before it vanishes again.
