2005 Lalla Gully Riesling $19.95
Australia, Tasmania, Tamar ValleyVariety: Riesling 100%. Lalla Gully vineyard is nestled in a sheltered and picturesque Amphitheatre in the Pipers River region of north-east Tasmania. A key focus at Lalla Gully vineyard is on capturing optimal sunlight interception; experimenting with an array of variations in grapevine shoot positioning, canopy management and Lyre "V' trellising systems.
Slightly lower yields for the 2005 vintage resulted in concentrated fruit flavours whilst still maintaining superb crisp natural acidity. Fruit was hand picked and fermented in small parcels under cool temperature controlled stainless steel vats to retain delicate varietal aromas and floral notes. Capturing the unique terroir of Tasmania and cool-climate varietal characteristics, the 2005 Lalla Gully Riesling displays beautiful lime-zest and citrus flavours with a lingering refreshing mineral finish.
Winemaker's Comments:
Colour: Youthful pale straw colour.
Nose: An extremely inviting floral bouquet of soft white lilies, powdered talc with distinctive citrus, intense lime and musk aromas.
Palate: A generous mid-weight palate with refreshing lime peel and floral flavours, enhanced by hints of spice. Well structured, the finish has superb length; finishing clean, dry with vibrant mineral acidity.
Serving and cellaring suggestions: Served chilled, best enjoyed young and fresh but has the acidity and balance to age gracefully. Bottled under screw cap the wine remains crisp and vibrant. Perfect as an aperitif or with natural oysters and a hint of lime juice.

2006 Allan Scott Chardonnay $19.95
Australia, New Zealand, MarlboroughThe vintage of 2006 provided excellent growing conditions at our Chardonnay sites within the Rapaura region, allowing ripe fruit development and balanced acids.
Viticulture:
As our vineyards develop with age definitive characteristics emerge, particularly in the more diverse locations within our blocks. Winter pruning to two canes and limiting bud numbers reduces the crop to enhance both concentration and quality. Leaf plucking around the bunch zone ensures an increase in ripe fruit flavours and aids in achieving optimal ripeness.
Vinification:
Components of the blend are specifically chosen from four different sites in the Rapaura region. The fruit underwent a gentle pressing to ensure fruit flavour preservation after which a mixture of indigenous and cultured yeasts were used to gain fermentation complexity. Each batch of juice was barrel fermented in new or 1-3 year old French oak barriques and was expressly selected to add complexity and fullness and to import balance with their unique characteristics. Malolactic fermentation occurs while the wine is left to mature on its lees for up to 12 months. During this time regular "battonage' is performed on selected batches to enhance the creamy mid palate. The wine is then blended and bottled.
Description:
Allan Scott Chardonnay is full bodied displaying ripe stonefruit characters, a light creaminess on the palate and a trace of French oak on the nose. The palate has good length and soft structure originating from concentrated fruit, malolactic fermentation and mineral complexities, ensuring this wine will age for several years to come
Serving Suggestions:
Designed as a food friendly wine, it is recommended with most rich creamy dishes particularly pasta or chicken or mild creamy coconut curries. Serve lightly chilled as the wine releases different flavours as it warms.

2007 Silverwing Pinot Noir $10.95
Australia, Victoria, Strathbogie RangesTasting Notes:
Color: Plum red.
Nose: A generous bouquet of plum, cherry and spice.
Palate: The palate is fruit-driven and accented with spicy oak. Perfectly
balanced, with sustaining length and aftertaste.
Aging: Drink whilst young and vibrant, but will cellar for 1-2 years.
Vintage Description: A dry, yet relatively mild vintage season. Record low yields have resulted in wines of significant flavor intensity and complexity.
Winemaking Information:
The fruit for this wine was sourced from the Strathbogie Ranges wine region. Fermentation was carried out in small, open stainless steel fermenters of 7 ton capacity. The temperature during ferment was allowed to get quite warm, encouraging good extraction of color and flavor from the grape skins. After pressing, the wine was transferred into older French oak barriques for 12 months.

2006 Peter Lehmann Barossa Shiraz $17.95
Australia, South Australia, BarossaOur foundation wine. The heart of Peter Lehmann's Barossa. When once asked why the Barossa could make so many different wines, Peter Lehmann replied, "Because we can!" – testament to the Barossa's viticultural heritage, its ability to excel across a variety of wines and its reputation as Australia's greatest winemaking region. Our love of wine and art and the diverse character of these wines have inspired us to distinguish each label with one of the many faces of the Queen of Clubs who is symbolic of the brave gamble Peter Lehmann took to build his winery in 1979.
Peter Lehmann once said that when God created Shiraz, he did so with the Barossa in mind! Shiraz has had a long and glorious history in the Barossa where it has flourished uninterrupted since the 1840's. The Barossa blessedly escaped the scourge of phylloxera, and consequently many of the vineyards remain planted on their own roots, direct descendants of cuttings brought to Australia in the early 1800's from Hermitage in the Rhone Valley. This makes the Barossa the envy of the wine world.
Our soils and our climate are ideal for producing the full flavoured, rich fruited Shiraz wines of great longevity that have made them internationally recognized as Australia's contribution to the great wines of the world.
The wine has a deep centre with a dark red rim. The bouquet shows lashings of classical Barossa Shiraz chocolate and dark plum aromas, given a gentle lift from the well seasoned French oak notes. It is a robustly structured wine, with mouth-filling generous fruit clothing its firm muscularity. It finishes firm with powdery tannins. It is a fine example of Barossa shiraz from a top vintage year.
The third consecutive great vintage in the Barossa following on from 2004 and 2005 is fulfilling the winemakers' expectations for producing red wines of exceptional quality. Selected premium Barossa Shiraz vineyards. Fruit was fermented on skins for seven days. Following pressing, clarification and blending, the wine was matured in French and American oak hogsheads for 12 months prior to bottling.
This wine is a perfect accompaniment to rich meat casseroles, steak and roast beef and wonderful with an aged cheddar or pecorino. Andrew Wigan, Chief Winemaker
