NewsSplash ~ Even MORE Beer !
Wow . . . it's already been 3 weeks since our last NewsSplash, so that means we have received another shipment of beer! We keep over 200 "specialty" beers in stock and to keep you "Delirious**" we vary the selection every 3 weeks or so. A few of these are seasonal and will not last long, so don't procrastinate too long, or you'll miss it! To keep you "hoppy," the newest suds are listed below. **Hang in there, "Winers." We are working hard, well actually Ben and Cam our Web Guru's @ The Bliss Agency are, on a way to keep you more informed on the new wine arrivals. We normally showcase them at our regular Saturday night tasting so, come on down "town." This week's tasting is themed "North by Northwest," wines from Washington and Oregon and remember, we always open a beer or two, too.

Allagash Curieux Triple 10% ABV
Belgian Inspired Triple ale, aged in Jim Beam barrels. Orchard fruits and honey meet bourbon, vanilla, and wood.Huyghe Delirium Tremens 8.5% ABV
Belgian Strong Ale. Fruity-estery nose; fiery, alcoholic taste. Flavors of pie crust, orange zest, and apricots; quite sweet.Huyghe Delirium Nocturnum 8.5% ABV
Belgian Strong Brown Ale.Dogfish Head Festina Peche 4.5% ABV
A Neo-Berliner style Weisse fermented with peach juice. This unique, tart and refreshing brew is so down with the dog days of summer.Anker Gouden Carolus Classic 8.5% ABV
This "Emperors-beer" is still brewed in our brewery. The "Gouden Carolus" is brewed with dark, very balanced dosed malt sorts according to the classical infusion-method. Through the combination of caramel and aromatic malts, and with the traditional highed fermentation we get a special beer that combines the warmness of wine and the freshness of beer.The true connoisseur drinks it in small sips to enjoy it fully.
Anker Gouden Carolus Tripel 9% ABV
Gouden Carolus Triple, the second colour of the "Great to Beer a Belgian" tricolour.In spite of modern brewing technology this beer is brewed according to ancient traditions. It unites, now as in the past, the best products of our soil: rich barley and fine hops. It's refined character, with a pure and rich taste, will captivate you. It is matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is guaranteed to be brewed only from pale malts. It is traditionally top-fermented and is 100% pure. The Gouden Carolus Triple has a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping.
To properly savour the Golden Carolus "Triple," pour slowly in one movement, leaving the yeast deposit in the bottle. This beer may be served cool but not chilled: 7-8°C is recommended.
In 2002 this beer won the Gold Award in the World Beer Cup, San Diego, USA in the "Triple" category.
Anker Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor 8% ABV
Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste pallet of the gamma Carolus-beers."Hopsinjoor" is a wordplay tothe several hops which were used andthe typical character of Mechelen of Gouden Carolus: the figure "opsinjoor" is intertwined with the history of Mechelen.4 types of hops are used: Golding, Spalt, Hallertau and Saaz. These hops were fractioned at several times in the cooking process in order to keep a maximum of aroma.
Regarding the taste: we can say that the beer has a gentle, but nevertheless bitter aftertaste. Gold-yellow colour. Hoppy aroma.
Anker Gouden Carolus Grand Cru Emperor 11% ABV
"Cuvee van de Keizer Blauw" is brewed from the 24th of February, the birthday of Charles the Fifth, in a limited quantity. This exclusive beer is an adaptation of the traditional Gouden Carolus, with a fine palate of refined flavours and tantalizing aromas. A perfect beer to store, to give, and to taste.Availability: as from end of April till the end of our supplies.
Left Hand Milk Stout 5.9% ABV
Strong roasted malt and coffee flavors build the foundation of this classic cream stout. The addition of milk sugar mellows the intense roastiness and gives this beer the most incredible creamy mouth feel.Rogue Morimoto Black Obi Soba Ale
A richer version of our Soba Ale with the addition of specialty malts and a special blend of hops to give it a fuller, nutty flavor while retaining a clean, crisp finishEggenberg Hopfen Pils 5.1% ABV
